Refund Policy

1. 30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied with a paid Defaults report, you may request a full refund within thirty (30) days of purchase. No detailed reason is required, though we welcome feedback because it helps us improve the product.
2. How to request a refund
Email hello@knowthydefaults.com from the email address associated with your account. Include:
- The order number or receipt date.
- Optionally, a short note on what did not work for you.
We acknowledge refund requests within two (2) business days. Most are approved on the same day.
3. Processing time
Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method within fourteen (14) days of approval. The time it takes for the credit to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer or bank, typically five to ten additional business days. We do not charge a refund processing fee.
4. Digital content
Your report is delivered immediately on purchase, which means most refund-eligible purchases involve digital content you have already received. We honor the 30-day guarantee in good faith regardless. If we determine that substantial use has been made of the report — for example, generating an unusually high volume of AI-chat content or repeatedly downloading the full report file — we may, at our discretion, decline the refund or offer a partial refund. We will explain our reasoning in writing if we do so. We will not take this action for ordinary use of the product.
5. After the 30-day window
We may still issue refunds outside the 30-day window at our discretion, particularly where a technical problem on our side prevented you from receiving or using your report. Reach out and we will look at your case.
6. Subscription products
Defaults does not currently sell subscription products. Today every paid purchase is a one-time transaction (the Full Life Report). If we introduce a subscription product in future, this section will be updated and existing buyers will be notified before any change applies.
7. Merchant of Record
Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy as our Merchant of Record. Refunds are issued by LemonSqueezy on our behalf. LemonSqueezy may require additional information to verify the transaction. Refund timing reflects their processing window in addition to ours.
8. Chargebacks
We would much rather resolve a billing concern directly than have you file a chargeback with your card issuer. If you have any problem with a charge, please email us first at hello@knowthydefaults.com. Filing a chargeback without contacting us is contrary to this policy and may result in account suspension, loss of access to existing reports, and refusal of future service. We reserve the right to contest fraudulent chargebacks and to recover any related fees.
9. Statutory rights
This policy is offered in addition to any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection law. It does not limit those rights.
